My psychology degree mostly taught me how to analyze my own family drama (hello, alcoholic mother). These days, I’m juggling life in Kentucky after our Texas chapter ended – complete with 13 acres that are equal parts dream and “what did we get ourselves into?!”
Our house is chaos central with four sassy half-siamese cats, a Border Collie who thinks she’s the property manager, a husky with judgmental blue eyes, and a tuxedo kitten who rules us all despite being the newest addition.
My boys keep me on my toes – my 19-year-old is off chasing med school dreams (and probably not eating enough vegetables), while my 15-year-old could probably survive solely on gaming and snacks if I let him.
Between raising teenagers and dreaming up my next business idea, I’m still married to my complete opposite – a programmer who loves basic food, video games, and bleeds Kentucky blue during basketball season (while I’m sneaking off to eat sushi alone).
